Jules Pascin was born Julius
Mordecai Pincas in Vidin, Bulgaria and was raised in Romania. He traveled
to Vienna and Munich to study art. He traveled to Berlin, and
Paris. He work as a Cartoonist for a paper in Munich for many years
and lived in the United States from 1914 until 1920. Pascin traveled
within the United States as well, mostly in the south. Pascin
committed suicide in 1930 at the age of 45.
