Gerrit Hondius lived in New York City and Provincetown, Massachusetts but
was born in Kampen, Holland. Hondius studied at the Art Student
League as well as the Royal Academy at the Hague. He was part of the
WPA program and exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the 1939 World's
Fair, Golden Gate Expo in San Francisco, and the Museum of Modern
Art. Homdius' work is in the collection of the West Milford Artists
Association, the San Francisco Museum of Art, Provincial
Museum in Kampen, Holland as well as many others.
